Now a days, provisional degree certificate is very essential while applying to any jobs as well as while joining MBA or M-Tech/M.E. As they were asked to submit degree certificate and 8th sem marks card to join job or college for masters.So VTU has now made a better way to get PDC (Provisional degree certificate) by sending suitable application form and DD (Demand draft) to VTU.
The whole procedure of getting PDC (provisional degree certificate) hardly takes 15days. And cost that you have to spend to get it is 200 rs for DD(Demand Draft) and 30-40 rs for speed post.
If you cant wait for 15 days then you can get provisional degree certificate by going to VTU, belagavi and get it on the same day itself.
NOTE: Apply within 10-15 days after 8th Sem result so that you can get it within "6 days" because traffic will be low during that time as number of peoples applying for PDC is low. If you apply it late nothing will happens you may get PDC late or early it depends, but you will get it within 15 days for sure.
If you think the procedure is too difficult and you cant send then ask office people to send application form (filled) with DD(Demand draft) to belagavi. They will send it but it takes time as office people has to submit the application form and DD in the form of post to VTU and also you may not sure the time that they take to send it as well as they may send as regular post or speed post.
Step 1: Take pdc (provisional degree certificate) form from college or you can download pdc form from the below link and take print out of "page 3"of pdf file.
Step 2: Fill the form as mentioned below
RED: Write the name of the candidate as in marks card all in capital letter
YELLOW: Write your USN in capital letter
SILVER: Write the DD number which is found below DD as show below (this step of filling DD as to be done after taking DD)
*NOTE: DONT WRITE THE SAME ABOVE DD NUMBER THIS IS JUST TO SHOW YOU AND IT IS INVALID. I WILL SHOW YOU IN FURTHER STEPS HOW TO TAKE DD
GREEN:Write your 5th,6th,7th and 8th sem marks in the box provided and write the total of the above sems
BLUE: Write the maximum marks of 5th,6th,7th and 8th sem
And fill your appropriate permanent address, contact number all in capital letter preferably use BLACK PEN.
Step 3: After filling the form take dd of 200rs from any bank in favour of "The finance officer, VTU Payable at Belgaum". To take DD go to any bank and ask DD chellan in help desk fill the chellan with suitable information and give option as cash in the chellan. The charges for taking DD will be between 30-40 rs. In my case, charge of DD was 36 rs and total cost was 236 rs.
After filling challen give it to the counter. It takes about 15-20 min to get DD. Keep the receipt of chellan for future reference and also take the xerox of DD as well as application form for future reference.
Step 4: After taking dd, take envelope from any local store, it costs about 1-2 rs. Put both dd and application form in envelope but don't staple it and send it to the address as mentioned in the form. Below picture shows how to write it on envelope.
Step 5: Post the envelope with speed post,it costs about 35rs(my case). It takes two days to reach belgavi and you will get pdc within 15days which will be like this as shown below.
